\\ VENICE BIENNALE 2001
The exhibiting space of the Spanish Pavilion in Venice essentially consisted of a central square, and was surrounded by a passage. I designed three independent projects for this transited, almost hidden, space. Access to each was gained from the central square, which contained three doors.

El espacio esencial del Pabellón Español en Venecia es un cuadrado central. Alrededor hay un pasillo periférico. Para este espacio de tránsito, casi oculto, diseñé tres proyectos independientes. El acceso a cada uno de ellos se realizaba partiendo del cuadrado central. Se abrieron tres puertas en éste.

\ PINK ROOM
The most abstract of the Venice projects. Three circular floor spaces, owing to their sizes, created a floating sensation. Three videos were projected onto the walls and floor: MAKE-UP SEQUENCES, FLOATING and MERCURIO to the sound of a single musical track, Floating from Girls on Film.

El más abstracto de los proyectos para Venecia. Tres espacios de planta circular que con sus proporciones provocaban una sensación flotante. Se proyectan tres videos sobre las paredes y suelo: MAKE-UP SEQUENCES, FLOATING y MERCURIO con un único track musical Floating de Girls on Film.







\ RAIN SPACE
A curtain of water was the vector of this aquatic space. The track Washing from Girls on Film and the projection of a video by the same title onto the wall were essential to the creation of a humid atmosphere. A cannon of light-as in a cinema projection-crossed the curtain longitudinally. Rain Space could be said to be virtual.

Una cortina de agua es el vector de este espacio acuático. El track Washing de Girls on Film y la proyección sobre la pared del vídeo con el mismo título es esencial para crear una atmósfera de humedad. Un cañon de luz -como si fuera una proyección cinematográfica- atraviesa la cortina longitudinalmente. Se podría decir que Rain Space es virtual.





\ LIQUID SKY
A platform of blue LEDs. A large starry floor. The spectator had the sensation of walking through an artificial sky. The video Moon was projected on the ceiling. The track from Girls on Film "Liquid Sky" was playing. It had been previously exhibited as an autonomous space in the Fine Arts Museum of Buenos Aires, 2000.

Plataforma de leds azules. Un suelo estrellado de grandes dimensiones. El espectador tiene la sensación de andar por un cielo artificial. Se proyecta el vídeo Moon en el techo. Tiene el track musical de Girls on Film "Liquid Sky". Anteriormente fue expuesto como espacio autónomo en el Museo de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires, 2000.
